Skincare Loving

If there is one thing that interests me from the beauty world it would be skincare. Not so much makeup, it's definitely more intriguing to me on on how to keep your skin clear, soft and smooth.

So this Monday I thought I would share just a few of my skin care loves with you and take a little look into my skin care routine. A little different for this site I know but it never hurts to try something new, I guess.

Every morning I start my routine my cleaning my face with cold water. This being a skin care tip my Nan told me once and I've lived by it everyday since. I try to not use products every single day on my skin and keep it super natural. In fact some days, I simply wash my face and apply a little pea size of moisturiser.

Sometimes I start by cleaning my skin with the 'Garnier Micellar Water'. This is definitely one of my favourite micellar waters as it's super light on the skin, very natural and works at removing all face and even eye makeup. Which I love as I find it super annoying the way there are cleansing waters to target just our eyes. Little pointless and a waste of our money if you ask me.

I'll almost always use this instead of any face wipes as its contains less chemicals. Unless I'm hungover then it is face wipes pretty much all throughout that day.

Soap and Glory is one of those classic skin care brands, which I have a love hate relationship with. I either 'love' a product or 'hate' not much in-between. Luckily the one I'm brining to the table today, I of course love. It's a pretty much all rounder and if you could only take one skin product on a trip I'd highly recommend this one. The 'Peaches and Cream Deep Cleansing Milk' is a 4-in-1 wash off which makes removing and cleaning so simple, which I'm always up for.

I take a couple of pumps and apply it all of my face, eyes and neck. Then leave for around 30 seconds and wash away with about 4 splashes of water to the face, pat dry and just like that all makeup is removed. Amazing, especially if bed is needed. On top of all that it honestly leaves my skin feeling so soft and just healthy, which is the best.

This isn't really a product I use all to often but I've used it once or twice lately; so thought I would throw it in here. Nivea is brand I feel like I tend to over look but actually their products are very good. If I do feel like using this 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner it will be for the toner aspect of it. As this offers better use for that then the 'Soap & Glory' one. It's a very light cream which I love and is great if you have normal or dry skin.

After washing my face in the morning, my next step is always to grab the 'L'Oreal Paris Triple Active Day Moisturiser'. This was a gift from my sister and something at the time I didn't really think about but now I could't live without it. Perfect for dry skin, it contains Vitamin E which I find most good skin care products do. And after a couple of weeks use I've actually noticed my skin being clearer and more uplifted. So job well done, L'Oreal.

A little more on the pricey side, but in my opinion more than worth it. This Clarins Extra Firming Body Lotion is for me one for the night time. Every night I'll grab this and use it on not just my face and neck but arms and even legs. It aims to lift, tone and smooth all which it delivers on. It has a soft absorbing texture which combined with a nights sleep provides a soft matte finish. Leaving your skin ready for more beauty application the next day.

Finally! Where do I start with this little gem. A ultra lift day cream which tackles those under eye bags. If you know me you will know I am very much a night owl, which isn't all that good for those tired eyes. But after discovering this Garnier Ultra Lift cream I don't feel quite as bad when I finally get to sleep at 2am.

Not specially aimed at eyes; more in fact advertised as a day cream, but as I've got my day cream sorted (L'Oreal Paris) this works perfectly for me after I've used the Clarins Moisturiser and in the mornings before applying any eye makeup. Don't hold back using it as a daily moisturiser swell as I'll probably turn to using this after my L'Oreal ruins out.

As well at delivering on all benefits, the packaging holds a little place in my heart. It's small and perfect to throw into your tote bag, yet you don't have to spend an hour searching for it when you need it.

Just like most things in life less is more and for me I definitely think this applies to skincare. Sometimes it's easy to get carried away with all the different products out there. But I say find one or two you can trust and use clean water and your set up for clear, soft skin.

So there we have it my little dip into some beauty. Probably my only for a while as we all know I'm far from experienced when it comes to beauty. Let me know some of your skincare tips in the comments below as I love hearing others views. And who knows I may read a tip and find it stays with me forever.
