Wardrobe staples

I scheduled a style diary to go up today however, heading back to uni mean't I couldn't find the time to plan and shoot one. So Thursday it will have to be. In relation to that I now actually have a bit of a blog structure, my plan is to post two days a week(maybe three if I can do it) on a Monday and a Thursday. So you guys now no exactly when to expect new posts from me.

Today I thought I would share with you guys five of my wardrobe staples, these are the pieces I probably wear the most and always find they go with just about everything. They are also great at being the basics for more 'out their looks'.

The Leather Jacket

First up has to be my trusty TopShop faux leather jacket. I do secretly love that 'rock, biker' look and this gem always helps to keep it going. It goes with just about everything, pair it with a white tee and it still manages to look put together. This one from TopShop is my favourite because of its silver hardware, which I think only emphasis the effortless rock chick look even more. So if you don't own a faux leather jacket, well, you need one.

Stripy Tee

It's no surprise that stripy tee's have become a staple in many peoples wardrobes lately as they are timeless. I was eyeing this one up a couple of weeks ago in TopShop but at the time my flatmates wouldn't allow me to get it haha as they all agreed I spend to much money on clothes(that just about sums me up). Anyhow next time when I was out shopping I went ahead and purchased it and it was one of my best buys. I can safety say I wear it A LOT. It goes with jeans, trousers and even skirts on nights on. So it's pretty much an all rounder.

Mom Jeans(High Waisted)

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans! We all own them yet do we actually enjoy wearing them? I used to hate jeans and never have been that much of a fan of them, tights and trousers are more ma thing. Because I'm so small I never really feel that comfortable in skinny jeans as I feel they don't do anything flattering for my legs, however Mom Jeans have officially made me become a lover of wearing Jeans. This per are a new addition to my wardrobe. I love dark denim and high waisted ones so they make the perfect combo and are a perfect fit. I think what makes or breaks a pair of jeans is how they 'fit' you. So I suggest spending a good amount of shopping time trying on ones and making sure they fit you properly; trust me you will thank me in the long run! May of just noticed that all the items so far have been from TopShop, no sponsors here I'm just a little bit of a TopShop lover right now, apologies.

There is no doubt that sneakers have been the shoe of the season. For christmas I received Adidas Superstars. I've never really owned any lets say proper sneakers before but now I can see why everyone makes such a fuss over them. Apart from the whole laid back urban look they can give off, they are actually hella comfy. Which in fashion is always a bonus and something I wish for. The Adidas Superstars seem to have been a very popular favourite with everyone, for me I like them because they are just easy to throw on with pretty much anything. And I guess this is why they deserve a place on my wardrobe staples list.

Comfy Knit

In my eyes when you live in England a knitted jumper is an essential no matter what season it is. I picked up this green one and a black one from Pull & Bear when I first started Uni and they where honestly the best buys for me. I wear them at all occasions, whether that be for a lazy day with jeans or to Uni with a little collar shirt underneath. They can be used for just about anything. This green one is my favourite, for the simple reason that I love the colour. Looking a little worse for wear now but that just shows the love I have for it I guess(How often I really wear it.)

Vegan Leather Tote

Apart from a tote looking beautiful, it also happens to in this day and age be extremely useful. With the new paying for bags rule now in the UK you would be surprised at just how handy this UO vegan leather tote has come in for me haha. This was another christmas gift from my lovely parents, it is a staple for me because at Uni I tend to have a lot to carry around like my Laptop and plenty of books. This fits all that and the essentials.(Click here to see the essentials from my handbag.)
To top it off it's only bloody 'Vegan Leather' Urban Outfitters you babe!

So that's it, that is a round up of my current wardrobe staples. Let me know in the comments which item is your favourite and what your wardrobe staples consist off! P.S if you have a blog leave the link below and I'll check it out as I'm looking for new places to be nosey ;)
