January Playlist

It's official being at uni makes it so hard to do style diary posts, so instead of a style diary today I thought I would share some music loves with you guys! Besides documenting my fashion loves I also want to make more of an effort to document my music loves on the site as well. So I've added in a music page and hope to make monthly or weekly playlists that you guys can check out.

We all know January is a dull month and I think the one way we can make it better is with music, right? Music can suit any of our moods and change them. Here's a run down of some of my favourite artists lately.

Mac Demarco

This guys laid back approach to music is what makes me love him a great amount. It's a cross of indie and may I say it a little bit of country(kind off). He is the perfect artist to start and end your day with and his chill out sound definitely puts me in a very happy mood. Take a listen to 'Salad Days' on the playlist and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Little Comets

I so badly want to see these guys live and I am currently trying to convince my sister to spend Valentines day with me at their concert which seems unlikely as she will be spending it with her other half. Looks like Jessica will currently be attending herself; here goes to being independent. ;)
I first heard this band last year and feel in love with their unique indie vibe, I'd say it's a combo of Catfish and the Bottlemen and Ben Howard. Sounds strange but just works so well!

Birdy

Birdy's voice will always hold a special place in my heart. It's a sound you could hear over and over again yet never get bored of it. More recently her new song 'Keeping your head up ' is exactly what I've been longing from her, it's a little more upbeat but with her tone of voice sounds heavenly.  Very Florence and The Machine, I bloody love it!

Aiden Grimshaw

You guys may remember Aiden from the of X-Factor but he's came a long way since then. I recently discovered some of his new sound and fell in love. I think he's definitely underrated and deserves more recognition. He has this combo of indie, dance and grunge so it holds a little bit of everything. I've added a few songs from him on the playlist so make sure you give them all a listen.

Check out the playlist and let me know some of your current music favourites. P.S style diaries will return next week for sure.
