Yesterday marked one month of me being a pescetarian, no longer eating meat has always been something I've wanted to do and been strongly interested in. But after many failed attempts I did give up and its not until coming to uni and living on my own that I have finally been able to give it a good go. As for now its going well and surpislingly I'm not missing meat at all.
I know a lot of people say being a pescetarian is pointless as you still eat fish and diary, however I all the iron we need comes from fish, vegetables and whole grains. A pescetarian diet is said to improve you health dramatically and reduce the risk of disease.
Over all I can tell my body is starting to adjust to no longer eating meat and I feel a lot more healthy for it. Something else that surprised me was that I have even found that this lifestyle choice has helped me with my anxiety, to the point where I even forget that I ever dealt with it. Thats not to say of course that I will ever forget about it but having a healthier lifestyle definitely helps.
I highly recommend watching both Food inc and Cowspiracy, documentaries covering the meat industry and if you've ever thought about becoming pescetarian or vegan then these will give you that extra push.
So current life update is complete. I'm currently working on some recipes to share with you guys, so keep your eyes pealed.
